Dealing With Irritibility While You Quit Smoking Cigarettes

Are you still trying to find the best way to quit smoking cigarettes? Most of you might have tried so many times that you think that you will never find what will work for you. There are ways to quit, you just have to find the one way and stick with it. If you think that having a friend quit with you will help, try it, but try to do this with someone that might not be your best friend. Some people react differently when trying to quit. Some of you get down right mean and it is not that you mean to, it is your body going through changes. If this person is your best friend, by the time you succeed quitting cigarettes, you might not be best friends anymore!

If you notice this happening to you do not stop the quitting process but tell your friend that it would be best for the both of you if you went off on your own or find someone else. You will need to tell is friend that you do not want to lose them as your friend but if you keep working with them on this you might do or say things that hurts and you do not want to do this. If you and your spouse both smoke, it might be better for each of you to do the quitting process with other people. If the two of you try to do this together, it could cause some problems in your relationship. When some of you try to quit you will notice that you become more irritable and it will seem that any little thing might set you off.

You might find that some things that never bothered you before will set you off quicker now. This will have nothing to do with this other person. It is just that your body is cleaning itself from all of the toxins from the cigarettes, but your body still wants them. So, you are actually fighting with yourself and this person is just in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you really get terrible, then it will be best if you just do this on your own. Going to your doctor or a support group will help as they can talk you through all of the steps that you will have to go through.

These professionals might have been through all of these steps themselves, so they will know how to help you go the the same steps helping you to succeed and maybe even making it a little easier. All you have to do is listen to them and follow their directions. The quitting is not easy so every little bit of help along the way helps.
